Launching of the Delegation Ruby Jubilee at Nefa, Bafoussam.

Sisters of saint Ann Cameroon Marching 2

The Jubilee Year was solemnly launched in Bafoussam on 14 December 2025 at St. John the Baptist Parish, Nefa, Bafoussam.

The celebration began with a pilgrimage walk, during which the sisters journeyed in prayer from their community to the parish church. This prayerful procession set a deeply spiritual tone for the event, expressing gratitude to God for four decades of mission, service, and faithful witness in Cameroon.

Upon arrival at the parish, the sisters joined the Christian faithful in the prayer of Vespers, giving thanks to God for His enduring guidance and blessings. The Jubilee Year was officially declared open by the Delegate Superior, Sr. Carine Bagatsin, in a symbolic and prayerful gesture. Three beautiful pigeons were released into the sky, representing the Most Holy Trinity, whose sustaining presence has accompanied and strengthened the Sisters of St. Ann throughout their 40 years of mission in Cameroon.

The launching ceremony was celebrated in the presence of the Christian faithful of St. John the Baptist Parish and sisters from across the entire Cameroon Delegation, highlighting the spirit of communion, unity, and shared gratitude that marks this Jubilee Year.

As the Sisters of St. Ann live this Jubilee Year, they do so with hearts full of thanksgiving, renewed commitment to their charism, and hope for the future, entrusting the years ahead to God’s faithful and abiding presence.
