On February 21st, the Sisters of Saint Ann joyfully celebrated the feast of Blessed Enrichetta Dominici, the second General Superior of our Congregation. This significant day marks the anniversary of her death, and each year we honour her memory with gratitude and renewed commitment to the mission she so faithfully embraced. Throughout the entire month of February, the Congregation dedicates special prayers and reflections in her honour.
Blessed Enrichetta Dominici worked closely with the Foundress of the Congregation and played a vital role in consolidating and expanding the mission of the Sisters of Saint Ann. With deep faith, wisdom, and courageous leadership, she contributed powerfully to the growth and stability of the Congregation in its early years. Her vision extended beyond borders, strengthening the missionary dimension of the Congregation and laying foundations that continue to bear fruit today. In a very real way, her missionary zeal justifies and supports the presence and work of the Sisters of Saint Ann here in Cameroon.
As part of the celebration, a three-day Triduum of prayer was organized in her honour, bringing together the Sisters and members of LASA (Lay Associates of Saint Ann). These days of spiritual preparation were moments of reflection, thanksgiving, and renewal of our commitment to live her charism faithfully.
The feast day itself was celebrated with great joy and unity by the twelve communities of the Sisters of Saint Ann, together with LASA members and other religious friends. The celebration was marked by prayer, fraternity, and gratitude for the gift of Blessed Enrichetta’s life and example.
May her spirit of humility, missionary zeal, and total dedication to God continue to inspire us as we carry forward the mission of the Congregation in Cameroon and beyond.
