Our school community solemnly marked Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the holy season of Lent, with the celebration of the Holy Mass, bringing together all our pupils, teachers, and staff in prayer and reflection.
The Eucharistic celebration was a profound moment of grace for our school family. During the homily, the significance of Ash Wednesday was explained to the pupils in a simple and meaningful way. They were reminded that Lent is a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving — a time to grow closer to God and to one another. The symbolism of the ashes was highlighted as a sign of repentance, humility, and renewal, calling each one to conversion of heart.
The imposition of ashes was carried out reverently during the Mass. As each pupil received the ashes on the forehead, they were encouraged to begin the Lenten journey with sincerity, discipline, kindness, and a renewed commitment to living out Christian values both in school and at home.
This celebration reflects our integral teaching mission, which goes beyond academic instruction. In our schools, we are committed to the holistic formation of every child — spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. By actively participating in the liturgical life of the Church, our pupils grow not only in knowledge but also in faith, character, and moral responsibility.
Ash Wednesday was a powerful reminder that true education forms the whole person. As we begin this Lenten season, we pray that it may be a time of spiritual growth and transformation for our entire school community.
