“Thus far the Lord has helped us” (cf 1Samuel 7:12).

The Sisters of St. Ann in Cameroon have joyfully entered into a Jubilee Year as they celebrate the Ruby Jubilee (40 years) of their arrival and continuous presence in the country. The Jubilee Year was solemnly launched on 7th December 2025 at Yaounde Archdiocese precisely in Messamendongo, the pioneer community of the Sisters of Saint Ann in Cameroon.

Messamendongo holds a special place in the history of the Congregation in Cameroon, as it was the first home of our very first missionary sister in the country. Choosing this historic community as the starting point of the Jubilee celebrations was both symbolic and meaningful, honoring the roots of our presence and mission in Cameroon.

The launching ceremony was a joyful and grace-filled event, bringing together sisters from all the communities across Cameroon, as well as the Lay Associates of Saint Ann (LASA) in Yaoundé. The celebration was marked by various activities, reflecting gratitude, communion, and a renewed commitment to the charism and mission of the Congregation.

Through prayers, moments of sharing, and fraternal fellowship, the Sisters and their lay collaborators gave thanks to God for 40 years of faithful presence and service in Cameroon. The event also opened a year of reflection, remembrance, and hope as the Delegation journeys through its Ruby Jubilee.

May this Jubilee year continue to strengthen unity among the sisters and their associates, inspire renewed zeal for mission, and deepen trust in God’s guidance as the Sisters of Saint Ann look forward to the future with gratitude and hope.
