The Sisters of St Ann Cameroon Delegation joyfully celebrated the Feast of St Ann, the beloved Patroness of the Congregation, in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, prayer, and fraternal communion. The celebration brought together all the Sisters of the Delegation alongside the Lay Associates of St Ann (LASA), who joined in honoring the Patroness and renewing their commitment to the shared mission of the Congregation.
The day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Innocent, MHM, Regional Superior of the Mill Hill Missionaries. In his homily, Fr. Innocent reflected on the exemplary life of St Ann, highlighting her faith, humility, and dedication to God’s plan. He encouraged the Sisters and the Lay Associates to continue drawing inspiration from their Patroness as they faithfully carry out their mission of evangelization, education, healthcare, and compassionate service to humanity.
Following the Holy Mass, the Sisters, LASA members, and invited guests gathered for a joyful family celebration marked by fellowship, gratitude, and shared happiness.
This year’s feast was made even more memorable as it provided an opportunity to thank God for the gift of six Sisters who made their Final Profession on 25 July 2026, offering their lives definitively to God in the Congregation of the Sisters of St Ann. The profession ceremony took place in the presence of His Grace Archbishop Andrew Nkea Fuanya, Archbishop of Bamenda, numerous concelebrating priests, members of the Congregation, parishioners, the Lay Associates of St Ann, family members, friends, and well-wishers.
The Congregation rejoices in the generous response of these six Sisters, whose definitive “Yes” to Christ is a sign of hope and a witness to God’s enduring call in the Church. Their lifelong commitment strengthens the mission of the Sisters of St Ann and inspires young people to respond generously to God’s invitation.
As the celebration concluded, hearts were filled with gratitude for God’s countless blessings. Through the loving intercession of St Ann, the Sisters of St Ann Cameroon Delegation renew their commitment to serve God faithfully and continue bringing hope, compassion, and the Gospel message to all those entrusted to their care.
